Wellness is a lifelong journey of pursuing good health, and mental health is an important part of that. Tyreek and the foundation are working to encourage conversations and raise funds to support mental health and you can too!
Join us for an inspiring evening on Friday, November 11 for the Tyreek Hill Family Foundation Gala. The event will feature a VIP cocktail hour with Tyreek Hill, silent and live auctions, fundraising games, dinner, drinks, and live entertainment. Proceeds raised will support the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Your support will help reduce the financial barrier adolescents and their families face when needing intensive outpatient treatment.
Gala Emcees: Brendan Tobin & Leroy Hoard
Funny and engaging WQAM midday show hosts Brendan Tobin & Leroy Hoard are excited to emcee the Tyreek Hill Family Foundation's first gala in Miami. Brendan Tobin has a way of helping sports radio listeners bask in the highest of the highs and burst out laughing in the face of lowest lows. Win, lose, or draw, Miami sports fans look forward to tuning in to hear his take on it all. Leroy Hoard is a former Cleveland Browns and Minnesota Vikings running back. He excelled at breaking through the opposing team's goal-line defenses, and now, he excels at breaking down the latest sports updates.
Supporting Mental Health at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital
The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital is designed to provide intensive treatment for adolescents and their families in a less restrictive environment. This program is ideal for adolescents transitioning from an inpatient unit or a partial hospitalization program, as it is a supplement to weekly individual or family psychotherapy. The goal is to avoid a crisis that may lead to an admission (or re-admission) into the inpatient crisis stabilization unit. Some, but not all, insurance companies provide coverage for IOP services. Self-pay is an option that is available, however, many families are unable to cover the cost of the program. To reduce the financial barrier, Nicklaus has developed a patient assistance fund to support IOP services for uninsured and underinsured children in need. Learn More
